Algoma Family Services (AFS) is a multi-million dollar, multi-service unionized not-for-profit organization that specializes in the delivery of children’s mental health, youth addictions, youth justice, student nutrition, supervised access, employee assistance services (EAP) and adult services inclusive of family violence counselling. Incorporated in 2001, AFS has 110 employees with offices in six locations throughout the district; as well as community based programs established within the school boards. Funded and regulated by government, AFS is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors
