Since the company was established in Sault Ste. Marie in 1935 by Ellwood Robinson, a citizen of Sault Ste Marie, K.J. The company maintains an asphalt plant and 4 local gravel pits, in addition to a pit in Echo Bay. The company’s general work area extends from Wawa (220 kilometres to the north) to Elliot Lake (210 kilometres to the east).
