Learn more about recruiting, hiring, and retaining foreign workers

Free Event for Employers and Business Owners

If you’re a rural Ontario employer struggling to find and retain talent, consider the option of hiring a foreign national – either from inside Canada or directly from overseas.

Join AWIC and iCA Immigration to learn more about recruiting, hiring, and retaining foreign workers. Let us help you determine if this option is right for you, and start to create a strategy for success given the current immigration policy.

This session is for owners/operators, employers, and HR professionals who are located within the East Algoma region ( North Shore-Elliot Lake).

In this interactive in-person and online workshop, learn about:

  • Where and how to find foreign talent
  • How to retain foreign workers
  • Employer responsibilities
  • When do I need LMIA and how to get it? (Labour Market Impact Assessment)
  • Creating an inclusive workplace

iCA will deliver an interactive live info session, provide a takeaway/hand-out summary, and answer specific questions in a Q&A session.
