SUMMARY:City of Sault Ste. Marie -  Community Job Fair
DESCRIPTION:The City of Sault Ste. Marie will host a community job fair on Tuesday\, February 3\, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the GFL Memorial Gardens\, offering immediate employment support to those affected by the recent layoffs at Algoma Steel. \nOrganized by the City’s Community Development and Enterprise Services\, the event will bring together leading employers actively recruiting skilled workers across various sectors. \nThe following employers will be on site and accepting résumés: \n\nWesdome Gold Mines Ltd.\nAlamos Gold Inc.\nWest Red Lake Gold Mine Ltd.\nAlgoma Tubes Inc.\nInterfor Corporation\nTMS Trucks Centre Ltd.\nJD Aero Technical Inc.\nProtexxa\nThe Corporation of the City of Sault Ste. Marie\n\nJob seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their résumé and be prepared to meet directly with recruiters to discuss current and upcoming job openings. \nIn addition\, representatives from Algoma University\, Sault College\, and the Canadian Skills Training and Employment Coalition (CSTEC) will be available to provide guidance on training programs\, recruitment options\, and labour market solutions. Northern Credit Union will also be in attendance\, providing advice on available financial support options. \nThe job fair is open to the public and admission is free.
